As a kid around the age of 15, I was befogged and confused. I knew that I didnt have it all together, and
constantlyywhere I looked slew acted as if they did. My thoughts and ideas would change day to day as
I talked to one soulfulness and then the next. I needed a concrete feeling. I tried going to church and
finding a release finished God, but I was unable to believe. I tried spirit at all my friends, but they
were all naive, so I turned to music. Music has become my religion, it clearly defines the questions I
have no answers to. I rig that everything that irritated me in like manner irritated the people in the bands I
started auditory sense to. People label this type of music as punk. Punk is defined in Websters New
World Dictionary as a loud, fast, and deliberately offensive style of rock music, and it defines a
punk as a) a young hoodlum b) a young person regarded as inexperienced, insignificant, etc.
1[slang] poor; inferior. That is the worst misinterpretation I have ever come across. The members
of many punk bands have gone to college and argon quite intellectual. Intellect is the basis of a punk
attitude. Punk is virtually change, and as defined by the band, Propagandhi, The basis of change:
educate!/Derived from discussion, non hate, not myth, not muscle, not etiquette./ Intellect, not
re-elect! Status symbols yield to detect between sex, species, environment...yup! (Propagandhi,
Hate, Myth, Muscle, Etiquette). Punk songs atomic number 18nt intimately going out and doing drugs, breaking
things, and harassing people, they are close life, life as a kid. And since Im not in truth understanding
what it takes to be a man, I think Ill stay a kid while I can (Assorted Jelly Beans, unpatterned Life). It
gives people permission...
The essay was very well create verbally and reads very well. It was really cool to give the audience an insider glance into the world of punk. Really good essay
I liked this alot. Fun to read.
only when got out of topic a little with God. But found your way again to the subject. otherwise excellent!
Punk is a vast genre, personally its my favourite. The twist is that Im a Mormon. I didnt find myself in music, but it has become a HUGE part in my life. I listen to punk all the time. In circumstance, Im listening to it right now. But I dont share your beliefs. Especially about the Believe in nothing belief. If you believe in nothing...what do you live for? I know your answer: Music. Which is fine, pull up for the fact that it wont get you far doing nothing in your life except sitting around with earphones in your ears. But an essay is about orderting your thoughts and opinion through, and I liked the way you did that. well up structured, and I think it was a great idea to put lyrics into your essay to show your point. Well done!
Hey, your essay was moderately good, you got your point across. I agree with all the comments pretty much, oddly the mormon. I love punk rock, but i also love my faith and thats whats great about punk, expressing your ideas and not big(a) a fuck. Good Job
